Using and Managing Prompts

Prompts are pre-defined instructions or queries that you can use to quickly interact with your AI assistants. They help streamline common tasks and ensure consistent interactions across your HR processes. This chapter will guide you through using and managing prompts in TalentAssisto.

Accessing the Prompts Section

To access the Prompts section:

  1. Log in to your TalentAssisto account.
  2. Look for the sidebar on the left side of the interface.
  3. Click on the “Prompts” icon (represented by a pen or pencil icon).

Understanding the Prompts Interface

The Prompts interface consists of:

  • A blue ”+ Save Prompt” button at the top left
  • A square icon with two overlapping sheets next to the Save Prompt button (likely for importing or exporting prompts)
  • A search bar to find specific prompts, with the placeholder text “Search prompts…”
  • A list of saved prompts below the search bar

Using Prompts

To use a prompt:

  1. In the chat interface at the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a message: “Ask anything. Type ’/’ for Prompts, ’@’ for Assistants, and ’#’ for Tools.”
  2. Type ”/” to bring up the list of available prompts.
  3. Select the desired prompt from the list or continue typing to filter the options.
  4. Press enter or click on the prompt to insert it into your chat.

Creating a New Prompt

To create a new prompt:

  1. Click the blue ”+ Save Prompt” button at the top of the Prompts section.
  2. In the dialog that appears, enter:
    • A title for your prompt (e.g., “Basic Instructions”)
    • The content of the prompt (the actual instruction or query)
  3. Optionally, add tags or categories to organize your prompts
  4. Click “Save” to add the prompt to your list

Managing Existing Prompts

  • To view existing prompts: They are listed in the Prompts sidebar, with an icon (pen) next to each prompt name.
  • To edit a prompt: Click on the prompt in the list and modify its content or title.
  • To delete a prompt: Look for a delete or trash can icon next to the prompt and confirm the deletion.
  • To organize prompts: Use the search bar to find specific prompts quickly.

Additional Features

  • Assistants: Type ’@’ in the chat interface to access your AI assistants.
  • Files: Type ’#’ in the chat interface to access your uploaded files.
  • Your Assistants: A dropdown menu in the top right corner allows you to switch between different AI assistants.

User Interface Elements

  • The interface uses a dark theme with light text for better contrast.
  • The TalentAssisto logo and tagline “All-purpose HR Assistant powered by AI” are displayed in the center of the main chat area.
  • A question mark icon in the bottom right corner is available for accessing help or additional information.

Best Practices for Using Prompts

  • Create prompts for frequently used queries or instructions to save time.
  • Use clear, concise language in your prompts for best results.
  • Regularly review and update your prompts to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Share useful prompts with team members to standardize processes across your HR department.
